Commission rates
The rates below are meant to give you a general idea of what you can expect to spend based on my most common commissions.
Most projects fall around these rates, but the final quote is always based on the scope of the individual illustration. Particularly simple requests may be quoted lower, while unusually complex characters, compositions, or rendering may require a higher rate.
Bust Portraits
Typically $200
A character portrait framed around the chest, including a simple background and my usual level of rendering.

waist-up illustrations
Typically $250
A more expansive character illustration, generally framed around the waist, with room for poses, weapons, magic effects, and other character elements.
My usual waist-up commissions include a simple, atmospheric background.
two characters
Typically $400
Two characters together in a shared composition.
Similarly to the solo waist-up illustrations, there is room for various poses, weapons and other elements. Includes an atmospheric background.

More than two characters
3+ characters typically from $500
Planning something bigger? The more characters you add, the more affordable the rate becomes per character, making larger group illustrations more doable.
Larger groups are quoted individually based on the number of characters, composition, and complexity, but I don't simply multiply my single-character rate for every additional character.
